REALM OF ANGELS DESIGN & SUPPORT

The ROADS business was created by myself many years ago as an independent project to help friends and family with their technology needs.  Starting out as a volunteer tech in my high school and working for various full time professional helpdesk companies over the years, computers just came naturally.  I had always been interested in how they worked, since using old apples and crashing our first Packard Bell many years later.  Creating art pixel by pixel in paint. And playing console and PC games.

As time passed, and technology moved at lightspeed it just became a part of my life.  So here I am, still helping out and working on different projects! I have two main things I do now. On one hand there is technical support and everything that can go with that including design aspects. And then the other hand is my R3tr0 B0x project.

That came about really because I wanted to play classic console games on my computer but I wanted a nicer way to do it.  Using software out there in the wild and combining it with many resources, and an insane amount of time, I was able to really put together something that made gaming on my TV and reliving the nostalgic gaming of my youth a lot of fun. Sharing that with my kids and friends and family, lead to other people asking about it and if they could buy one.

That hadn’t really crossed my mind until that point. However, I said ok and started creating them for other people. Taking it further I decided I might as well keep trying to make the boxes even better and more packed full of useful items. So many emulators, games, some video streaming programs, and a full windows computer all decked out with SNES controllers and there you have it, R3tr0 B0x was born!

I think for me, one of the biggest keys to ROADS, is that I do this because I love it. I’m passionate about it and enjoy working on technology and gaming.
